DAMAVAND AND ARARAT TOUR - 15 DAYS

DAMAVAND AND ARARAT TOUR - 15 DAYS

About the tour

Damavand and Ararat tour

TOUR to DAMAVAND and ARARAT is for all those who would like to try themselves at two 5,000-meter peaks – the highest peaks in their countries – during one trip. We offer this opportunity by offering both trekkings connected by transport between Iran and Turkey. During the trip, apart from trekking, you will also be able to see some interesting places of both regions. The expeditions to Damavand (5,610 m above sea level) and Ararat (5,137 m above sea level) last 5 and 4 days, respectively. During the trip to Ararat, we skip the acclimatization day because we did it on Damavand.

We invite people to join the expedition who are physically fit enough to climb two high mountains. It is tour for active people for whom several-hour hikes and several-hour summit attacks will not be a problem. We enter the camps lightly because some of the luggage is carried by horses. The mountain is not very physically demanding, but due to two trips in one, we recommend it to intermediate people.

Both of our trekking destinations in “Damavand and Ararat tour” are volcanoes. Damavand is a potentially active volcano because fumaroles near the summit crater emit sulfur. In many photos of Damavand, you can see a small cloud, which is a sulfur cloud. The Ararat volcano is a volcanic massif consisting of two peaks. Greater Ararat is a dormant volcano, while Little Ararat is an extinct volcano. Possibility to reverse the order of conquering the peaks.
